Downloaded the ROM update from Telecom, soft reset my Harrier, rebooted my PC, and followed all instructions.

Has had a screen saying "checking the information on your device... please wait..." for 30mins now, and the Harrier screen has the text "USB" and "v1.02" in black lettering.

Is my Harrier dead or am i being impatient?

I have loaned my Apache out, and need my Harrier to be working :-(

hmmmm..... my pc just had a fit and crashed. Harrier appeared to be 100% dead.
Rebooted PC, ran update program again, Harrier has sprung to life and now says updating radio - will take 20mins via USB.

Looking a bit rosier...

Has anyone else done this??

It happens... As you found out, restarting the process seems to cure it.

My Jasjar was frozen after a while and after restarting the process it worked ok and finished all the way.

A bit hair-raising when you are running an updated provided "at your own risk".

All finished, device booted fine with hard reset. Now for the real test - does it work nicely with my CK7W bluetooth car kit?

Thank god for boot block recovery! I have seen this a number of times before but the Harrier always comes back.
